Deirdre Malone, Head of Employment Law at EY Law Ireland, has been appointed to the Employment Law Review Group (ELRG), a statutory advisory expert body charged with advising the Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment. The ELRG is tasked with monitoring, reviewing and advising on all aspects of employment and redundancy law, with a specific focus on promoting good workplace relations, simplifying the legal operation of employment and redundancy law in the State, and ensuring that employment rights and redundancy legislation remain relevant and up-to-date with international standards.
Deirdre Malone leads EY Law Ireland’s employment law team, bringing a wealth of experience from more than 20 years advising clients on day-to-day people issues, workforce planning, restructuring and transactions. In addition to her role on the ELRG, she is also a member of the Law Society of Ireland’s Employment and Equality Committee.
Commenting on her appointment, Deirdre Malone said, "I am honoured to have been nominated to the Employment Law Review Group and look forward to working with other members of the Group to advise the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment on the review and development of employment and workplace law in Ireland, an area which is growing in complexity with each passing year.”
